ANTHONY MELLIS, President
Anthony earned his Bachelor of Science in math and physics from St. John’s University in June 1992. In June of 1995, he graduated Polytechnic University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. While in college, he worked as an electrician for several large electrical contractors prior becoming a project manager where he gained over 20 years of experience. As a project manager, he was responsible for the successful execution of projects totaling over $30 million. As the CEO of Metropolis, Anthony leads and motivates to develop high performing managerial team, oversees all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission of the company.
SPIRO SINANIS
A proven leader with over 30 years of practical experience serving all major market sectors within the NYC Construction Industry — A Licensed Master Electrician in New York City, Westchester County and the State of Connecticut. Spiro earned a bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering from New York Institute of Technology. He also holds a Master of Science Degree in Construction Management from NYU. Spiro’s passion for the Construction/Electrical Contracting industry began at the early age of 11 while working over Summer break in the family electrical contracting and real estate business. Since then, Spiro has held several field and office positions within the family business and has owned and operated a very successful electrical contracting business. Working for some of the largest construction firms in NYC, Spiro has successfully put over $500mm of work in place.
GALO ZUMBA
Galo joined the company with over 20 years of expertise in the electrical and fire alarm aspects of the construction industry. His hands-on experience makes him an integral part of Metropolis. Over the course of his career, he has successfully executed multi-million-dollar projects. Currently, Galo manages all project field operations. His primary focus is to ensure that all projects operate safely, completed in a timely manner, compliant with all codes and regulations as mandated by city agencies. Galo is certified OSHA 30-hour as well as Allied Trades/Restricted Handler.
KATE MELLIS
As Accounts Manager, Kate Mellis is responsible for serving as lead point of contact for all account management matters on all Major Project Construction Projects. Her main passion is in developing strong relationships with customers, especially connecting with accounting business professionals and administrators; also working as a liaison between customer and insurance brokers ensuring certificate of insurances. Her primary duties include corporate financial functions, she works closely with the Project Managers to assure contractual payment schedules are met and projects move seamlessly through their administrative cycles. She develops short- and long-term financial plans and is accountable for the company’s strong balance sheet. Besides her financial duties, she processes Payroll weekly and administers Employee Benefits and HR Generalist duties.
ALEX STELLATOS
Since 2014, Alex manages smaller scale projects as well as various day to day processes. He ensures all projects flow seamlessly, working hand in hand with project managers as well as foremen. In addition, prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints and specifications. Computes costs by analyzing labor, material and time requirements. Oversees material purchases and deliveries for all projects, coordinating closely with suppliers & warehouse personnel. Alex is certified OSHA 30 and is well acquainted with fire alarm and electrical codes and regulations.
SEUNGYEOP JEE
Seungyeop joined Metropolis in 2017 as a Project Manager. He earned a Master’s Degree in Industrial/System Engineering from Rutgers University and holds Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Seungyeop coordinates internal resources for the execution of projects and is responsible for overseeing tasks, delegating responsibilities to foremen/field personnel and manages all project related expenses to ensure projects are delivered to the client on-time. Upon project completion, he processes close-out documentation and generates as-builts using CAD.
STAVROS TIMOTHEATOS
Stavros joined Metropolis in 2018. He earned his Electrical and Computer Engineering degree (B.Eng. & M.Eng.) in 2009, and later Master’s degrees (MSc.) in Optics and Vision and in Computer Science and Engineering. As a Project Engineer, he is responsible for projects CAD/ CAM/ CAE (AutoCAD MEP) and BIM (Revit & Navis) designing and coordination both 2D and 3D, focusing but not limited to Electrical, Fire Alarm, Telecom, Security, and Building Managing systems. He is also in charge of projects schedule preparation, (MS Project, Procore Platform), pre-planning, and resource forecasting. Upon project completion, he processes close-out documents and as-built drawings. He is certified OSHA 30 and Procore (Project Management and Engineer).
